This little guy is about one of the cutest kittens I've met in some time......

So, the people brought him from MAWL, and I really liked them. Wags was all over the poor woman and no amount of the Mom-evil-eye that usually has her melting in a puddle of her own shame was going to convince her to be good. 001_rolleyes

So, the kitty has already managed to bite me. laugh I was holding him, and we were sitting in the floor, and talking, and Wags got too close for kitty comfort and I guess he just wigged out and bit MY finger instead of the big bad overly-affectionate dog. blink Luckily it wasn't too bad, just bruised the skin under my fingernail a bit. But oh-so-typical for me. laugh

I also love that I am going into the system at their vet, and have basically free reign to take the kitten in for his routine vaccinations and anything else he may need (worming, flea meds, antibiotics?) at my own pace. If anything seems "off", I am able to just take him. Obviously they ask that I let them know what is going on, but there isn't this long line of red tape and paperwork to get through just to take the cat to the vet if he's sick. Which is WONDERFUL.

He's so very playful. Nothing like I expected out of a feral that has only been in a house for a week. blink He growls and spits when he sees us coming but it only takes about .2 seconds before he's head bumping on us and purring and flopping over on his back for pettins.

Yeah. He won't be here long. Once he's neutered, he'll have a home in NO time flat......

If you think dogs can't count, try putting three dog biscuits in your pocket and then give him only two of them.

OMG, I love him! That moustache makes him look French. Charles Boyer perhaps? Your Stache is an absolute doll! Can't wait to hear more about him and see more photos!

biggrin Everyone loves the stache. It just doesn't seem natural. If I didn't have him holed up in my bathroom in person, I'd think the pics were photoshopped. lol

He is so hissy and growly and spatty when we walk in the bathroom. But it doesn't take long before he's climbing our legs. Literally. Hurts like a bleepity bleep. I trimmed his nails yesterday, which he was NOT fond of. But I'M not fond of kitty-acupuncture either. wink

He's got one heck of a purr motor, and his YOWL can wake the dead. Or at least wake US at 5 in the morning when he has decided he doesn't LIKE being alone. glare laugh

I really wish they had been able to trap at least one of his siblings. Maybe he wouldn't feel so lonely then. Or maybe I'd just have TWO yowling kittens in my bathroom. lol But, as of yesterday, they had no luck trapping any, and Momcat had moved them to an unknown location. sad

tiki.... I'll stick with this little guy, thank you very much. 001_tongue I've had a few true ferals in my house, and those experiences were what I was expecting out of this guy. I'm pleasantly surprised, and don't plan to complain any time soon. biggrin

Linda.... Nope, no room at the inn for any more permanent bodies! Plus, I don't have a say in what happens with this little guy. He's a foster for another rescue, and merely a visitor here. When they say it's time for him to go, it's time for him to go...... That has it's good points, and it's bad.  001_smile

And that would be one of the biggest reasons that I just can't foster. I don't see how in the world I could ever foster an animal, grow to care about their welfare, and then let them go to an anonymous person that I didn't know for sure would give them all the love that they need. I tried to rehome Moose once, thought that I picked out the best person, and she came back to us within 6 weeks. I cried like crazy when I had to let her go, and I really am not a cat person.  So, I could not even begin to imagine having to give up a puppy or dog like that. You, and all of the rescue/foster folks here, are better women and/or men that I am.  My heart is just way too big to do that, and I can just see my house being chock full of fosters that wouldn't go anywhere.. Of course, I would probably be divorced too.. which is definitely NOT in the plan.. :)

Its not so hard when you can see and/or hear stories about the ones you give up.  Its hard when you never know how they are doing and if they got a good match.
